Beautiful, warm coat-great value! : Via Spiga Women's Elegant Trim Hooded Down Coat, Java, Small
This is a gorgeous coat. The brown color is gorgeous, it is well made, and it has great features, such as zipped pockets (including an inside pocket), cuffs for added warmth, and soft lining in the hood and upper back. I had my eye on this for a while but unfortunately waited too long and had to order a large when medium would probably have been a best fit. I particularly wanted a warm coat that wasn't as shapeless as most puffer coats tend to be. The princess seams do accomplish that to some extent, but the width of the coat at the bottom makes it look bell-shaped and rather odd. Even though it is defined at the waist, the overall result is that it looks huge (and not like the photo on the model). But again, the large size is too large for me (I am 5'8" with slender build), which could partially clarify why it looks so bulky. I agree with the other reviewer regarding the use of real fur. With all the lovely faux furs out there these days, killing a diminutive animal to make a pretty coat is unnecessary and unappealing. Bummer that genuinely on the day I received this coat via Ups, Amazon dropped the price by colse to $30, but both the large and medium sizes were gone by then anyway.
